Contemporary Catholic solo artist Sharmane believes music is a venue for healing the soul. She sings out of a desire to bring people into worship to God – and this focus shines throughout her newly released second solo album self-titled, Sharmane.
With her sweet and comforting voice aloft a stream of captivating melodies, Sharmane answers the desire for more music from this inspired artist. Her debut album released in 2002, Prayerful Hearts, reached No. 5 atop the Catholic Music Sales Charts from Catholic Music Network. Her music has been aired on radio stations around the globe including EWTN Radio Network. Sharmane has been a nominee for the Unity Awards through UCMVA (United Catholic Music & Video Association) and featured in GrapeVine Magazine. She has also been interviewed on Sacred Heart Radio Network and Catholic https://www.tradebit.com.
Sharmane’s lovely sound is best described not by the characteristics of her voice, but by the character her music embodies. One hears the sound of sincerity, joy, and the peace that comes from embracing the moment. Listeners might glean a likeness to Jenny Owens or the innocence of a young Olivia Newton John.
The same musical gift Sharmane shares with others of all ages has impacted her own life. Sharmane has been singing her entire life, from performing in pageants and teaching music and voice – to serving as a cantor and singing at numerous church events. Sharmane’s talent extends to singer, songwriter, performer and producer. Her devotion to music is evident. Her passion is to enrich the lives of people of all ages through prayer and song. Sharmane currently travels as a concert musician and workshop clinician, performing and speaking at music and liturgy conferences. Sharmane is a member of UVMVA and CAM (Catholic Association of Musicians).
Sharmane’s music ministry complements her first calling of being a wife and mother. She lives on the waterfront in Florida with her husband and two children.
