Details:
Polo Blaq started his rap hustle in the early 90''s which led to his connection with the local rap group "Blaq Moja", whose members consisted of himself, "Oogie the Poet" and "Necropolis King tha 3rd". The grind started with the same high and lows that any other artist striving to get in the entertainment industry experience. The group went seperated ways but still maintain regular contact. From there, Polo Blaq and Oogie the Poet were scouted by a small local record company by the name of Low Down Records but nothing became of it.

Frustrated by the difficulty of obtaining a record deal, Polo Blaq started a solo grind, backed by the financing of a childhood friend and produced his first solo demo tape which consisted of the record "Money Makes" which was a neighborhood favorite amonst his peers. Seeing the opportunity, Blaq grabbed it and eventually signed with North Star Records, which was a small local label, and started recording a full length album, but this was not before Polo had been scouted by a down south label. Leaving his job as a RPS truck loader, Polo Blaq trekked down south only to go through more trials and tribulations, as it turned out to be a dream that didnt come true at that time.

The recording at North Star came to an abrupt stop when the label folded but Blaq still gained insight into the business and also opened up for his first major act when Ludacris came to Cleveland. Seeing no more opportunity in Cleveland, Polo joined the Marine Corps and put down the mic for almost 2 years. As fate would have it, Blaq met with an aspiring young CEO of "Mad Hat Records" based in Arizona and built a relationship while serving in Iraq. Upon his return, Polo Blaq used his finances earned from serving overseas and started his own "ButcherShopEntertainment" label. With a style unlike any heard and a move away from the trendy ways of hip hop, Polo Blaq is hitting the streets with his first independent release, "The Prophecy Chapter 1 The E.P. Are ya''ll really ready?! Go cop that!!!
