Details:
Recorded in just two days in Los Angeles, Paperboy Jack''s Room 13 is a basic rock EP that is stripped down and raw yet powerful enough that it has been used by the band to book a non-stop national tour through over 28 states and 75 cities in their first 6 months on the road.

Paperboy Jack was formed in Los Angeles in October 2004 as a merger between the established bands Corporate Whore and Amanda Sonic. Guitarist, James Jarrett, and drummer, Amanda Krantz, met lead singer Amanda Sonic through an online musicians classified ad. After a quick meeting at the infamous Rainbow Room on the Sunset Strip, it was evident there was potential magic in this new group. Since Amanda''s sound and style was going to have to be a departure from the Corporate Whore sound, the decision was made to form an entirely new band, and Paperboy Jack was born.

Since all the members of Paperboy Jack have been in fairly successful regionally touring rock bands in the past. This group was formed with a supreme goal laid out clearly from the start. This band was a band of road warriors, and the goal was to get Paperboy Jack''s music and live show out to as many people as quickly as possible. So, the new band spent 3 weeks writing music and practicing for 6-10 hours a day, recorded the Room 13 demo, played their first show in Hollywood on October 26, 2004, and then by November 1, 2004 had begun booking dates and making plans for the 2005 national tour.

In order to afford quiting their jobs and touring full-time, the band decided to cut all of their costs that normal people have in life. They moved out of their apartments, put their belongings in storage, sold their cars, bought a 15 passenger van and trailer (which you can see on the inside cover of the Room 13 EP), and hit the road.

The first 3-months on the road, Paperboy Jack had the pleasure of touring with bass player Will Mack. Having to give in to the pressure and responsibility of fatherhood, Will had stay back in LA and in June, PBJ picked up new and accomplished bass player Jay Zarecki, who learned 4-hours of material, put his belongings in storage, and hit the road in true PBJ style just 1 week after meeting the band through a myspace classified.

Through their hard work and non-stop touring, the song "The One" has been played on radio stations from Colorado to New York and the band has been featured in papers in over 15 states.

Check out Room 13 to get an idea of the Paperboy Jack sound, and then come see a live show in a city near you to catch the real energy and power that can only be gained through non-stop touring and a passion for performing!
