The Trustees of Modern Chemistry was formed in 2008 by frontman Brian Etienne. Having experienced first hand the Seattle-grunge era, Brian sought out to create a band that would embrace the rawness and conviction of that era while utilizing the pop edge of the 80''s, from the likes of bands like The Cult and the Police, the vocal stylings and soulfulness of southern roots rock, like Lynard Skynard, while incorporating a modern approach in overall sound similar to current bands, Theory of a Deadman, Shinedown, Seether and Nickelback. To complete the band line-up, Brian recruited Laura Kelly, who brings her love for all forms of music, from traditional blues to modern day hip-hop beats to the bands songwriting style, while defining her skills and ability with energy and conviction on drums alongside Brittney Wright, who delivers the quintessential, classic, driving groove on bass with punch and determination while establishing memorable harmony vocals. The band have formed their style and sound wrapped around life, personal experiences, and stories into music that is rhythmically driven and lyrically clever and will transcend the listener to a level of personal connection, meaning and relation to their own lives.
