Originally released in 2002, Josh Wright''s Debut album offers exceptional interpretations of such mature works as Rachamaninoff''s Third Concerto and Maurice Ravel''s "Ondine" from Gaspard de la Nuit. Josh began piano lessons at age 5. Twenty minutes into his first piano lesson, his mother asked him to stand in a corner and identify the pitches she played. Discovering Josh had perfect pitch, he immediately began lessons with his grandma, Marlene Larsen. Four years later, he switched teachers to Dr. Susan Duehlmeier at the University of Utah, and gave his first concerto performance a few months later. Josh toured Europe with the University of Utah Piano Department at the age of 10, performing in the Liszt Academy of Music and other venues. He has gone on to compete and win numerous international competitions, and has given concerts across the United States and in Europe.
