The 24 pieces on this disc were recorded over a few months by Jon in 2009. Originally intended as work tapes/song ideas, he recorded them into a pedal looper with his fender stratocaster and a few standard pedals. As the riffs were recorded, he improvised, building tracks as he created layer upon layer. No sequencers or keyboards were used;all of the parts were played in real time.
When Jon tragically left us on sept 27,2009, the loops were downloaded, and put on disc. in listening,i saw that many of the ideas had recurring themes-some unfinished-some with different dubs. The surprise was that what seemed to be random riffs actually gave the impressions of complete songs. As the looper was full, every idea would cut off after a short time. Our only editing was to fade some and simply let others to cut off. No parts,effects, or multitracking was used after the fact. The ideas here are just the way Jon recorded them.
As the best example of Jon''s guitar ability and his last recorded work, these pieces show a depth of atmosphere and tranquility many of Jon''s fans had not heard. Perhaps without knowing it, musically and personally it was his
message to the world.
