Scooterpop born name Alexander Richardson is from St. Louis Missouri and have been involved in music at an age of 10 by learning to play the bongo drums. Later got interested in the bass guitar by hanging out with his best friend David Lee who began teaching him the bass instrument and that became is favorite love along with basketball.
Scooterpop started a band called "Blue Ice" while he was enlisted in the US Air Force and also became the bass player for the Mac Showcase, an Air Force band that toured the US to entertain military personnel. After his enlistment Scooterpop learned to play the keyboards with some formal training at one of St. Louis'' area colleges. Later he built a recording studio and learned to record, mix and master music which lead him to becoming a song writer, music producer and eventually starting his own indie record label which is now Scooterpop Records.
Scooterpop''s favorite music has been contemporary jazz and he has produced artist, Darryl Terrell''s "Magic Motion", Chad Evan''s "Stress Free Zone'''' CD''s and also a contemporary Christian Cd "Ultimate Life Style" By Al Henderson. After producing other artist he thought it would be a good time to produce a contemporary jazz Cd for himself.
Sitting and thinking about today''s political climate he started venting and began to write and produce the single "Never Trust a Politician" in which will be released in April 2011. Scooterpop is currently in the studio completing his first Contemporary Jazz Cd to be named and released in the fall of 2011.
