The Dogtown Blues story starts in 1990 at Junior''s Motel recording studio near Otho, Iowa. A group of us gathered there one night to record some of my funkier and bluesy tunes. I had played with all of these gentlemen at various times, but never together like this, and never all together again since that night. Kirk Kaufman engineered the session, which was recorded "live" to two track with no overdubs. I sang and played guitar and mandolin. Dave Steen rocked on lead guitar, Denny Osburn added plenty of soul on piano, lap steel & harmonica....Todd Mason grooved on bass, and Kris Karr held us all together on drums, harmonica, and harmony vocals. Originally released on cassette...now available in remastered form on CD.
