BIO / TESTIMONY
Some call it a biography, but I like to call it a testimony. You see, God has been my help through the thick and thin, so everything that has happened in my life has been a testament of God’s grace and mercy. On August 13th, 1979, in Livermore, CA, I, Justin Brummer came into this world. My parents were divorced shortly after. They were young and my dad was a drug addict, so he wasn’t interested in being around. We moved to Tulare, CA, where I was raised and still reside.
Childhood years passed quickly for me as I approached the 6th grade at the age of twelve. It was then that I was introduced to drugs, such as marijuana. I became heavily addicted and smoked all the way through middle school where I was eventually caught and expelled. In high school there were new drugs to experiment with, such as crank, acid and cocaine. I did a lot of those drugs throughout high school. At one point, I was expelled again, this time not just for drugs, but for fighting and ditching class as well. I was going nowhere fast, but halfway through my senior year something happened to me. My mom and I were invited to the church of a friend. We didn’t see the harm in it, so we attended that Sunday morning. It was on that Sunday morning that I found Jesus. I had learned about God as a child, but had forgot as I grew up. It was all coming back to me now. The preacher said that God loved me and that He was the only one that could help me. God had been waiting for me all this time. I accepted Jesus into my heart and through the power of God; I was instantly delivered from drugs. Today I can say I am completely delivered from the bondages of drug addiction. Once God made me whole, I went back to my high school and graduated. Praise the lord!
From then until now, God has given me more blessings than I can count. He blessed me with my wife of 7 years and we are so happy together. God also blessed me with a powerful ministry that started 6 years ago. It all started with me knowing a guy that was into rap and he would try to get me to rap, so I decided to write a song. Of course, I was saved at the time, so I wrote gospel songs. Surprisingly, they turned out good and with a lot of practice the talent God blessed me with only got better. I purchased a recording studio and started making beats and albums. Over time, God has blessed me with the privilege of working with a lot of different churches and ministries. I minister locally and statewide. I am having a great time-sharing Jesus with everyone I meet.
After 8 years serving God and 6 years in ministry, I know that Jesus is the best person that ever happened to me. I give Him the honor and the glory for what He has done in my life. So, from now until I go home to be with Jesus, I will tell people about the love that He has for them. I will speak boldly about the life changing, sin forgiving God that sent His Son to die for us, so that we can be saved and set free! He is my life and sharing His Word is my calling.
