Sam Glaser''s soulful music has become part of the fabric of Jewish life in communities worldwide. Named one of the top ten Jewish performers in the US by Moment magazine, Glaser is equally comfortable behind a grand piano in intimate solo concerts, leading his eight-piece band or headlining with full orchestra. While he typically performs in synagogues and Jewish Community Centers, he has appeared at such venues as L.A.''s Greek Theater, Universal Amphitheater, Staples Center and Dodger Stadium as well as on Broadway and at the White House. He has traveled the world over in concert, from Sydney to London to Hong Kong to Tel Aviv.

Glaser performs for the widest array of audiences of any Jewish artist; his devoted fans range from those in the Reform and Conservative movements to the Modern Orthodox and Chassidim. He has performed at the top Jewish national conventions including General Assembly, Limmud, Central Conference of American Rabbis, Coalition for Advancement in Jewish Education, Cantors Assembly, Union for Reform Judaism’s Biennial, Orthodox Union and Hadassah.

He was one of the first artists signed by Sony/JMG Records, a Jewish music label that released Inspired: Best of Sam Glaser and Sam Glaser''s Rockin'' Chanukah Revue. Sam’s children’s CD Soap Soup won such awards as the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, Parents Choice, National Association of Parenting Publication and the International Songwriting Competition. In addition to the twenty albums of his own compositions he has published four collections of lyrics and poetry, four musicals, three sheet music songbooks of his Jewish music and an SATB choral book, Kol Haneshama. In his cutting-edge recording studio, Glaser Musicworks, he produces albums for a wide variety of recording artists and music for such networks as the WB, ESPN and Sports Channel.

Since 1995 Glaser has performed in an average of fifty cities a year. His energetic style and passionate delivery never fails ignite the spirit of audiences of all sizes and age groups. Countless fans credit Sam’s music with their enhanced connection with Judaism; some credit Sam with their conversion to Judaism. One of Sam’s gifts is working with young people; Glaser acted as director of the renowned Yad b''Yad Youth Theater Troupe, music specialist at Camp Ramah, music director for the JCC Macabee Games and as music director for the Brandeis Collegiate Institute in Simi Valley, CA. He frequents religious school retreats, NFTY, USY and NCSY events and collegiate Hillel Houses. He has also served as a beloved and enthusiastic music teacher at Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy, Sinai Akiba Academy, Shalhevet and Yeshiva of Los Angeles.

Glaser has emerged as one of the leaders of the Los Angeles music scene. He served as Executive Director of the Jewish Music Commission for five years, an organization that commissions and produces major Jewish works from composers across the country. He has produced such events as the annual American Jewish Song Festival, American Jewish Idol and Taste of Kosher LA. For six years Glaser acted as Music Coordinator for the Department of Continuing Education at the University of Judaism where he supervised the music curriculum and directed the Cultural Arts Program.

Glaser has been composing, singing and tickling the ivories since the ripe old age of seven. He graduated the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BA in Business and Music and supplemented his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the UCLA Film Scoring Program. He has worked as a photographer, journalist, sportswear manufacturer and salesman. He is a life-long skier, big wave body-boarder and mountain biker.

Sam is active in the Coalition for Advancement of Jewish Education, Aish HaTorah, the Center for Jewish Culture and Creativity and was a Jewish Big Brother for seven years. Sam lives in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles and devotes his life to his wife Shira and children Max, Jesse and Sarah.
