"Anxious" is an album that was composed in my bedroom from 09'' to spring of 2011''. This has been an incredibly fun and challenging experience since I had to teach myself new aspects of music that I''ve always wanted to learn. To write a song is one thing, but to transfer onto your CPU and mix it as you envision it is the most difficult, yet rewarding part. One thing I learned while writing this was not to rush songs, but to be patient. I feel many young musicians are too much in a hurry to get their first record finished because they''re too anxious (hence the album title) to get a career going for themselves that they forget what''s most important; the music.
I''m incredibly happy how this record came out, and can not wait to perform these songs in front of people. I''ve had several of my friends compliment me by saying, "I can totally see these songs getting bumped in the club!" - That really wasn''t the intention when I was writing these songs, (not that I would complain about that or anything.) For me, these were songs that were written based on how I was particularly feeling about every 2-3 months at a time. There were several spaces of time that I couldn''t give my record attention because of other bands or projects I had to prioritize, so to continually keep coming back after not listening to these songs a couple months at a time was a bit discouraging because it felt like I would never be able to finish this thing.
But I kept at it, and now it is finished. Thank you for any future purchases, and thank you for listening.
