The Red Comets are a new band from Abergele, North Wales.
Formed in August 2010, the group features two sets of brothers. It''s hard to describe their sound, but here goes: It''s a mixture of The Smiths, REM, Air, Neil Young, Weezer, Eels, The Eagles, The Doors, Gorky''s Zygotic Mynci, Elton John, The Beach Boys, The Zombies and The Beatles, amongst other things you may hear.
Aside from drums, guitar and bass there is piano, organ, mellotron, wurlitzer, fender rhodes, string synths and a few orchestral instruments in the production.
The music falls in the alternative/indie genres and has elements of classic rock, americana and power pop.
