Where did the ocean come from?
What does it feel like to be in the ocean?
Everyone has something to say about the ocean. We collected recordings from people around the world responding to the above questions and used those as both raw material and inspiration for this composition. Ocean Voices is a 30-minute journey into a collective human response to the largest single feature on the face of our planet.
Ocean Voices premiered in the Morrison Planetarium at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco in June, 2010.
