Details:
My name is Elidio Rene Guajardo Jr, (aka E.R.G.) I was born on the 6th of January 1981. I was raised around music ever since I can remember. My grandfather, my moms’ dad, always played the guitar and sang to us when we were younger and especially for our birthdays. I used to always want to learn to play but it wasn’t until my sophomore year in high school I picked up the guitar and started to play. Previously I always would write rhymes and spit them to my friends and rap on other peoples beats. I started off with two tapes deck a mic and a book of rhymes. I remember thinking to myself if these other guys out here can do it, than may be I can too. At first of course everything seems good at the time but after a while, things seem to get better and all the old stuff seems old. Now, there are programs to make beats and pretty much make beats like the stars out there which is why we use a lot of real instruments its hip-hop but really organic. I notice that not many producers out there can actually play instruments, we can. Also music now isn’t really music sometimes its more like someone pushing buttons to make sounds. Our music is more real we use chords and real bass guitars, sax flute, we also use keyboards for it of course, we use Yamaha Motif and Korg Triton. People are always asking what samples do we use but we don’t use any sample everything is made at the studio, we may use a sample in a couple of tracks that’s just to keep our music more versatile. Right now I produce a lot of different people and when I create music for them I think about what kind of style they have and what would fit them best. I produce R&B, Hip-hop, Acoustic Rock and Acoustic Instrumental. I’m trying to do more orchestral scores and symphony music. But I know there is a lot more I need to learn. What I have learned as being a producer and a musician, you have to be real and always keep up with times but still be original, its cool to take ideas from other or older artist but always make sure, someone knows your work when they hear it. Being very versatile in music is important, only a fool stays in one place while everyone around him makes moves, its good to like one type of music more than the other but don’t be left behind in a business that requires you to collaborate with other musicians. My musical influences consist of many type of people and artist. First of all my uncles Manuel and Abraham who got into music and rhyming when I was young. Also people like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Billy Holiday, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, System of a Down, Korn, D’Angelo, Musiq Soulchild, Xzibit, 2pac, Biggie, Mars Volta, Robert Johnson, Dave Mathews, Alicia Keys, Deftones, Nas, Marvin Gaye, the list goes on. But of course my main influence in music is Life itself. The struggles, the love, the lost, the ups and downs, all the things that life consist of. Music gives me a way to express myself to who ever lends the ear. I’m Always open for questions, comments, suggestions, or if you wan to say whats up hit me up at E.R.G.@https://www.tradebit.com
