"I''d like to let everyone know that the United State of Americana is off to a great start! It''s just starting to get listened to and this week (Jan 10) we entered the AMA chart (https://www.tradebit.com) at #138 (though we are actually somewhere in the 120''s, but there was an error in this weeks'' report) - which is the highest we''ve ever entered the chart. We also received Top 5 adds for the week, tied next to Jack Johnson (yeah...odd definition of Americana). To boot, RW Shamy of https://www.tradebit.com called it the "best cross-section of Americana" he''d ever heard on one disc. Anyways, we''re continually getting good comments and "adds" from Music Directors and look to have more airplay coming our way. Can''t wait til next weeks'' stat''s. Thanks for helping make a wonderful compilation that people are really getting into."

"Upon listening to "Seven Songs", I was reminded of that honest, organic sound similar to that of artists like Mary Lou Lord or Patti Smith. That being said, you are able to maintain your individuality by blending a myriad of influences and forging an eclectic take on the singer/songwriter genre. This can definitely be heard in songs like "I Forgive Myself" and "Dying Breed". I love the twangy Emerson, Lake and Palmer-ishintro in "I Forgive Myself". This wry little shanty then continues via crisp acoustics atop drving cadence- very catchy.I must say, though, that "Stampede" is probably my favorite song off the album. Again, another flawless intro with escalating electric lead atop the backing guitars. This song has just the type of melody that leaves an impression on first-time listeners. All in all, "Seven Songs" radiates with pastoral goodness and boasts of proficient songwriting. We here at Shut Eye would love to feature you...".
