the still small voice (2004) - This collection of songs reflects a turning point in my personal and creative life. Several years ago I served as a group leader at a youth retreat at my church. A guest speaker there talked about how we use or don''t use our gifts to glorify God. It got me thinking - deep down I knew my talents (I use the word loosely) were a gift from God. But how could I honor Him with instrumental music?
I remembered how the Bible mentions "the still small voice" of God (1 Kings 19:12) and it occured to me that our lives are often so crazy we don''t hear what the Lord has to say to us. So I set out to write a collection of reflective songs hoping that people could listen to them as a way of closing themselves from the outside world and opening their hearts and minds to the still small voice of God. Now that this CD is finished, I know that He has a plan for me and my music. What a wonderful thing!
