Miles to Go (a suite in four stylistic movements): Dedicated to Miles Davis. Movement one brings to mind the Birth of the Cool. Movement two is based on Miles modal period. The third movement is for the second great quintet (1964 to 1968) and finally, the most controversial period of all, electric Miles. The playing on the fourth movement is dedicated to the "Lost Quintet" (1970). This composition is also dedicated to the greatest joy in my life, my son Miles.
