Details:
Bridging the emotional/binary chasm, Biaxial Creep carves a path that amalgamates dark emotional soundscapes and minimalistic melody with glitchy hardcore beats. By taking the Dadaist perspective and experiencing music for music''s sake, a voodoo rhythmic world is invoked. Expanding past the tunnel vision of most dance floor variety, Biaxial Creep synthesizes the sound sculpting madness of coil, the machinegun glitch-core beat structure of Gridlock and the subsonic funk of Meat Beat Manifesto.
Biaxial Creep''s originator, Swante, has musical influences that range from Skinny Puppy to Parliament. His proclivity for rhythm based musical mayhem began in the days of beating on the dashboard of his mother''s old car. Growing out of the dashboard design and into electronic based systems, Swante finally found a way to express those infectious memes that lie germinating since childhood. With cinema being yet another memetic stronghold of Swante''s youth, the influence of films such as Blade Runner and Alien have added the sonic and visual landscapes necessary for those infectious rhythms to coalesce.
Biaxial Creep surfaced after Swante''s relocation form Albuquerque N.M. to Seattle Wa. With his previous collaborative endeavor, Novemdecillion, losing momentum, energies were reallocated into the project that now lies before you. With "Theoretical Silence" being the first full length release and a follow up EP entitled "Infectious Meme" scheduled for the fall of 2004, Biaxial Creep starts a journey that links sound, emotion, composition and technology into one driving force.
