HIP HOP/RAP: Southern Style

Details:
Originally from Washington DC, Big Cuz was influenced by a variety of Hip-Hop legends such as Run DMC, Rakim, Chuck D, Scarface and Ice Cube. Growing up in the Washington DC Go Go music scene, Big Cuz became inspired to write rhymes based on the rhythmic call and response anthems of the early 80''s DC Go Go scene combined with the emerging Hip-Hop scene of that era. A destined meeting between Big Cuz and his partner/ beat maker, Dangerfeel, who relocated from the Hampton Roads, Virginia region to the DC area, led to the dynamic partnership known as Big Cuz and Dangerfeel. Dangerfeel, a gifted keyboardist/arranger whose musical influences included James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, Curtis Mayfield, Barry White, Prince, Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith and Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis, just to name a few, blended his 3rd dimensional musical arrangement with Big Cuz''s signature lyrical format to create an exciting new and distinct style. Frequenting the DC area music studio scene and recording demo''s, their new "funk-induced" sound began to be recongnized within the region which led to this debut. After meeting Leon Stewart, Sr. Pres/CEO of SOW Records they were very delighted to be signed to a recording contract.
