Details:
The Black Mollys lead singer/ vocalist/ songwriter Tory Stoffregen may have changed his zip code when he moved from Kansas City to California, but his true home is still in the Midwest. Since his move, Tory''s major focus has been writing and recording to complete "Overnight Disgrace". Tory describes this album as ''real music,'' because there are no gimmicks, no labels. It doesn''t matter if you drive a Mercedes or a pick-up truck or if you''re 14 or 41; everyone can rock out to The Black Mollys. The album itself is a tongue-in-cheek look at the world, packed with real-life experiences everyone can relate to. Instead of wildflowers and broken hearts, this album highlights the absurd moments and lousy days that make up real life.

"Overnight Disgrace" was recorded at the famed recording studio, Sound City, where the band worked with renowned record producer John Paterno (whose most notable clients include Sheryl Crow, Joan Osborne, and Los Lobos.) Paterno used new and vintage gear to create a sound that is classic and cutting edge at the same time. The Sound City studios have produced a wide array of rock''s biggest albums including: Nirvana (Nevermind), Fleetwood Mac (Rumors), Cheap Trick (Dream Police), Queens of the Stone Age, and most of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers recordings.

Tory explains, "I''ve tried to record a great album my whole life, and this is the first time everything seemed to come together. It''s easy to get caught up in this crazy business and forget why you became a musician in the first place. But this time it was just about four guys in a studio having a great time. John (Paterno) made sure it was about having fun again, giving us (the band) the freedom to focus on the music."

Dan Dryden, formerly of the bands Stuck Mojo and Fozzy, plays bass for The Black Mollys. Unlike most bassists, he didn''t start off as a guitar player, converting to the bass; he is a true rhythm man. Joe Walden on drums combines the backbeat of John Bonham with the zany antics and out-of-control fills of legendary Who drummer, Keith Moon.

If one must make a comparison, then The Black Mollys are like Cheap Trick meets Black Sabbath, with influences ranging from AC/DC to The Beatles and with the sarcasm of Tenacious D. But Overnight Disgrace speaks for itself.

The Black Mollys are touring the country, starting in the Midwest this summer. For upcoming tour dates check out their website at https://www.tradebit.com. Now you know the name...get ready for the music!
