Born in North Carolina, Tornesia Lavon Moses was raised in the urban cities of Brooklyn, New York, Newark and East Orange, New Jersey. Her musical background started in the churches of Newark and East Orange, New Jersey.
Along this musical journey, Tornesia experienced an awakening, an “EPIPHANY” with her "I can do bad by myself" attitude and worked on creating her own “GROOVE” thus becoming EPIPHANY’S GROOVE and along with her vocal talents she submerged deeply into songwriting, keeping the messages real while unleashing the “DIVA” inside. Her music is tailored for the masses; sincere, with a “parlay” twist yet from a personal perspective thus becoming this sultry, seductive and melodic “EPIPHANY’S GROOVE” in her own right. Her time has come! What EPIPHANY’S GROOVE will bring to this industry is music that will not only feed the soul but the mind with seductive, sensuous, melodic yet catchy hook grooves. EPIPHANY’S GROOVE performed among HBO’s Real Sex, “The Punany Poets” 2004 in Seattle, Washington and recording artists: Dwayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! Tone!, Allure and Indie Arie, Kindred and the Family Soul that were part of the lineup at the Black Lily’s in Philly. Performed at The Brave New World, House of Soul and The Black Lily’s, a venue at the Five Spot Nightclub downtown Philly, where artists like the JazzyFatNasties and Jaguar along with Jill Scott, inspired talented artists, especially women to display their talents. Performed at Seattle’s biggest summertime venues; The Soul Festival 2000, 2001 & 2002; The Umoja 2000, 2001 Festivals, The Convention Center in Hopkinsville, TN in 2002; The MGM Hotel in Las Vegas, NV 2004; The Wonder Club and Hip-Hop/Soul Sistahs Festival, Seattle, WA 2005; and many, many more local/national venues in 2006. Pursuing that Jazzy, Neo-Soul with a R&B fusion sound led her to international exposure while continuing to reach for universal stardom. Her travels includes Germany, Holland, Berlin, Africa, Canada and in the U.S. from Washington to Kentucky to Philly to New York.
