Banner Exchange website
Banner Exchange website.
You have brought this website from a RESELLER and NOT the author of this script.
Therefore, this reseller offers NO help and support for this product.
Welcome to your new Banner Exchange website
Step 1. Open common.php in a text editor such as wordpad or notepad and edit the variables for your site. Only edit between the quotation marks for each line. The following is an example, you will edit the text in red with your information:
$ratiohigh=2; // banner views
$ratiolow=1; // credits given to the user for the above banner views
$referral_credits=500; //banner impressions given to a referral signup
$bannerexchangename=My Banner Exchange;
$namefrom=Banner Admin Name;
Next open payment.php and edit your payment details:
Step 2: Connect to your website to the root folder of where your site will go. If you are using https://www.tradebit.com and your hosting provider is Cpanel based, then you will place all the files in the folder public_html/ on your server. If you use Ensim then the folder will be mainwebsite_html/ and for Plesk httpdocs/ You are going to upload the files loose in this folder, keeping the directory structure of this site in tact. WS_FTP is recommended to upload the files.
Step 3: FTP to your site and set permissions on the banners folder to 777
Step 4: In your browser, load the install.php file. Therefore if you uploaded your site to the domain. https://www.tradebit.com, the installer URL would be https://www.tradebit.com This installer will create your database tables. After completion, test your site. You will receive errors if:
1. Database info is incorrect
2. An error occurred while editing the common.php file
Your site should now be installed. Your next steps will be to edit the admin account.
This site does not have a seperate admin or control folder, instead a default admin account is populated on install that uses the same login as your members.
Load the banner exchange you just installed in your browser and login using admin and both username and password. When the Admin Control Panel loads, change the email address to your email address and change the password. This will be your admin account. From here you can:
add your own banners
add paid credits
authorize new uploaded banners
send newsletters to your members
Customers can also purchase paid impressions (banners) from the site from their control panel under the link called Add Credits, you can set whatever rates you choose. To determine your banners packages you wish to offer and place your payment info, edit the file t_advertise.php (more template info is as the bottom of this page)
By default, packages are already entered for you with a choice of PayPal or Stormpay payment options, if you do not know how to edit an HTML document or are happy with the existing packages, then you do not need to edit anything on this page.
How it works is customers will order paid impressions. Once payment have been completed customers will complete the form at:
https://www.tradebit.com which will contain a form for all the details of there account. You will then receive that email, whose data will be entered in the Admin Control Panel under the link of Add New Banner
Main Website Banners
The folder sitebanners is an admin area for your website banners, these are the banners that appear at the top and bottom of the main content of each and every website page.
To visit this sections got to https://www.tradebit.com
Your password will be the password you entered in the common.php file:
