Parade is groove based Jazz featuring eight original compositions by virtuoso guitarist Bruce Macleod and one piece by keyboardist Joe Heinemann.
MacLeod has combined elements of traditional New Orleans Jazz rhythm styles and even Dixieland in a modern melodic and harmonic setting. These ideas are taken further with the improvisational interplay between guitar and keyboards during the solo passages. The result is a collection of deep grooves supporting great songs with earthy sophisticated melodies.
Parade was produced by Jimmy Hobson and Bruce MacLeod, and recorded for Parhelion Records at Proformance Recording in Walnut Creek California. Parade features veteran Jazz drummer Jimmy Hobson (Celine Dion, Hall and Oates), keyboardist Joe Heinemann (Robert Cray, Archie Shepp, Eddie Harris) and bassists Victor Little and Steve Evans.
