Hi, my name is NICKO-G., and I’m a 1-Man Band that was born 2 give you music right from my heart & soul. No matter if it’s R&B/Soul/Funk/Dance/Hip-Hop/Rock/Pop/Electro/Freestyle/New Age/Jazz - I’m always in it 4 the music, and 2 make the listener feel all that I’m trying to portray thru my music. If I get you to dance, laugh, cry, feel good inside, forget about your worries, etc., then I know I accomplished my personal goal.
When I was 5 yrs old, I started peaking an interest in music by using my mothers'' pots, pans, coffee cans,wooden spoons & whatever else you can imagine in the house that would make a beat sound just like a drum. By the age of 10, I was picking out notes on a keyboard and putting them together with lyrics that I began writing. At 14, I was recording songs on a 4 track recorder with Drums, Piano, Bass, Guitar and vocals on the tracks.
In High School, I was in a few different style bands that played @ a few gigs here and there, but never really went anywhere due to the lack of loyalty the band mates had 4 the music. This really made me get even more into my music than ever before, by writing from all perspectives of everyone around me at the time. I figured if I was the only 1 this devoted, then I should be the 1 creating all the music and showcasing it myself.
Not trying to deal with the business side of the music biz, I kept writing and recording whenever inspiration struck me (Sometimes in the early am hours, on my way 2 the job, on the job or even in the shower). Sorry, the last part may be TMI (2 much information), but it''s the truth!
I then had a baby boy (Nico III.) which made me re-think my responsibilities as a new dad, and I focused more on providing 4 my family.
Now in 2007, the wait is over!!!! I am releasing my Long-Awaited CD (thru my own 4-EVER DAD MUSIC label),"The PartyFunkSound"- showcasing just 1 side of what I have been longing to get out 2 the people 4 so long now.
This CD is a collection of 14 songs that I feel should be the 1st group of trax 2 be heard by the people. An uptempo, Back-in-the-Day, Funky, Fresh, Dance Record.
