Linda Goddard started writing songs in the year 2000 and before this time after bearing five children she hadn''t known about this wonderful, God given talent. She presented her songs to a pianist from her church and after singing the melody to the first song the woman said to her, " Linda, KEEP WRITING! these are beautiful songs" as she bashfully looked away unsure of this new thing in her life.
After getting the songs well rehearsed they went to a local studio and recorded 12 songs! The depth of joy and harmony it brings to her in being a servant to our Mighty Lord in this ministry is truly overwhelming. With the different trials faced each day it seems that God has given her words in the wee hours of the night to literally get up out of bed "but Lord, I''m tired" and pen the words onto paper. These words are so comforting to the child of God searching for his/her rightful place in His kingdom. "Yes, it is a great joy to be a part of the work of a diligent, loving Savior" she says. So, she continues to write as often as He desires sometimes coming up with three songs a week, giving full glory to Him, for to Him it belongs.
The Lord has brought her through hills and valleys to get where she is today and all worthwhile since she knows that He is pleased in the growth that He is giving her. When once she thought she might never be able to use her talent for Him and others, He has led her to a wonderful church where she can freely use it. Singing whether it be Praise and Worship in church or out at a coffeehouse is a big commitment and she feels blessed to be part of that. To see the faces in an audience as they sing with her brings so much satisfaction when she knows they are touched by God through the songs.
Linda''s desire is to continue using the precious gifts that God has given her and to share it with others in need in the church and around the world.
