A haunting electronic journey through emotions is the best way to describe Velvet Saints. The project began as a mere outlet to satisfy only two people, Jeff Epperson and Kevin Manning. Searching for the depths of perfection, these two looked deep into their beings to bring feelings and emotions to their stirring music. Each song contains thick, deep layers of electronic sounds which makes one realize that each song contains its own soul. They each face their own demons and expose the skeletons in their closets. Textured with simple, yet stunning guitar riffs, their songs reflect the very personality of their creators. Jeff and Kevin have known each other for years but each were involved in different projects so the folding of these two perfectionists into one mix didn’t occur until 2003. Constantly pushing their limits, the two realized something was still missing. After much trial and error, the two came upon Jill Eds. The addition of her moving voice which at times is seductive and other times scolding was the link the two had desired. Her drive to achieve the perfect sound matched the intensity Jeff and Kevin brought to the table. The road Velvet Saints have paved is one which reflects the soundtrack of life. Revealing all of the vulnerabilities, which make us imperfect and human.
