Details:
3D House of Beef

3d House Of Beef is a band originally from Seattle, Washington. They released 2 cassette EPs ("Crowning on a Ferris Wheel" and "Lazgrodin/Zosaval"), a remix EP ("Similar Attack Pattern"), 2 full length CD albums (self-titled and "Low Cycle"), as well as appearing on several international music compilations. They were one of the first US based bands to incorporate sonic elements of industrial music, heavy metal, and experimental noise along with the ideology and lyrical content of punk and post rock into live performances and recorded output. In 1997 the band was labeled by now defunct Seattle music magazine The Rocket (newspaper) as being "the heaviest band in Seattle, ever".

The bands early recording output was immediately championed by the UK press as being a revolutionary new direction for Pacific Northwest music away from the frenzy of grunge music that had overtaken the region. Hailed with a four ''K'' rating from English magazine Kerrang! and stellar reviews from AC/DC biographer Malcolm Dome, the band was rapidly catapulted to the top of the underground music scene overseas.

"Hystero-sludge that creates free-standing monolithic grotesqueries from the melted polyvinyl of Swans and Sabbath records. The pace is at a crawl, the tone is psychotic and erects the power riff as the songs'' overlord, ending with a squalling blast that''ll leave you inhaling the organic mulch of shredded speaker mesh." - Sound Views NYC

"3D House Of Beef dredge up the demonic nightmares of a thousand demons - on bad acid - and turn them into a sonic death ray of pulsating riffs powerful enough to kill postmen at a thousand paces." - Jimmy Possession, Head of Music, Cambridge University Radio

"These obscure Americans inhabit a world of hate, hate, and more hate. Scary and powerful, 3D House Of Beef make Nine Inch Nails sound as subversive as Anthea Turner. Just nag someone to buy this for you!" - KERRANG!

"In the flesh the band live up to the expectations, they dont look like aural terrorists when they take to the stage, but as the set progresses I wonder if they shouldn’t be stamped with some sort of health warning. They hit like an overdose.. inflicting severe damage on a seismograph or three." TERRORIZER

Dark, powerful, and overwhelming. Since 1993, the acoustic warfare known as 3D House Of Beef have struck dumb many an unsuspecting listener and show attendee. 3D House Of Beef throws down a sonic gauntlet big enough to park planets in.

The roots of 3D House Of Beef lie in Seattle, where the band was first formed as a response to the overblown grunge scene that dominated that city. Nial played in several metal and punk bands there and realized that the music scene there was dying, and decided to relocate to one of the hubs of heavy music culture: the San Francisco Bay Area. There he played in several other bands including Deathline International, Blessing the Hogs, NIHIL and Slave Unit. After a recent relocation to Los Angeles, a chance meeting with ex-SF''er Jason Michaud (Goatsnake, The Rake) led to his presence on drums. Longtime friend Mike Peoples (16 volt, SKREW, Man or God) is performing with the band live along with Austin, Texas denizen Clayton Wavering (Skatenigs, SKREW, Man or God).

LOW CYCLE, The groups recently released 5th album, produced and engineered by Alex Newport (Fudge Tunnel, Nailbomb, Will Haven, At The Drive-In) is a festival of all that is wrong with the world. "We wanted to explore further sonic extremes, to take back heavy music and draw a new line in the sand." Explains guitarist Nial McGaughey. "Our goal was to take the listener, smother them and leave them for the vultures." On this discomforting release there are 9 new songs laid down by the band.

Since relocating to Los Angeles from their native Seattle, 3D House Of Beef have continued to develop their following, and their crushing live sound with extensive touring throughout the United States, Canada, and England. Playing numerous shows on their own, and with other heavyweights, 3D House Of Beef have developed a sound that borrows the low end of dub and death metal, sutured it to the incessant pounding of industrial and trip hop, and drops it in a dark hole with twisted imagery and an over the top sonic blast from which there is no escape.
