The song "Pumpkin Pie for Breakfast" has been something of a kid''s anthem in Missoula Valley since 2004. Nearly every time I perform in our schools I am blown away by the children singing my song right back at me! This is due in no small part to the airplay it get''s on KUFM''s kid program "The Pea Green Boat."
I played my mother''s old tenor saxophone in grade school, sang and traveled with a men''s acappella group in college, and strummed folk songs on the guitar until I was swallowed whole by the bluegrass whale in the early 80''s. Bluegrass and Old Time String Band music has been my passion ever since.
I have been a ''stay-home-dad'' for the past 7 years and this good fortune has obviously shaped most of these songs. This project, released on the heels of my golf music CD "3 Putt Blues," represents more artistic closure on some of the songs I''ve written over the last 20 years.
