Brian Adam Ant is the stage moniker for Brian Goldstein, a musician who started playing in bands at the age of 10. Now 23, he records his own music in the sunroom of his house in Baltimore. He writes all the songs and plays most of the instruments, and sometimes has his friends help him out. The music is reminiscent of folk-pop artists like Bob Dylan, Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Cass McCombs, retaining an acerbic and poetic lyrical quality while always remembering to put the melody at the forefront. Brian Adam Ant also plays the bass in Baltimore bands the Dirty Marmaduke Flute Squad and Evolve.
