Cara De Pau is the music of Dan Reddan. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, then raised on several different continents he acquired a first hand knowledge of many styles of music via the radio. It’s all just “pop” music to him. He says: “ Cara De Pau is my musical ‘Holodeck’, a place where I am free to create and participate in scenarios unencumbered by the real world. The songs are free to find their own culture and identity.” It’s not about fusion, this is roots music for the poly-cultural.
“Dose” is the second CD from Cara De Pau. Pop instrumentals with a strong Dub/Reggae vibe that showcase Dan’s guitar playing. Of course pop instrumental + guitar =Surf ... Or does it equal Bossa?
