Finding your identity seems to consume a large portion of our existences. Some people find theirs in sports, some in high paying corporate firms and some in small corner shops. Jake Bosci, Greg Milliner and Michael Beatson have found there identity making music. The type of music you take on those longs walks along the beach of an afternoon, the type of music that inspires you to make changes or for some, stay the same. Its the type of music you can relate to and at the same time find yourself completely lost in and taken away to a special place.

Compelling, sad, definitive, unique, eclectic, compassionate, romantic and interesting, Ellington finds themselves setting three very important goals as they strive to construct the best possible music they can for the public but most importantly for themselves: 1. Make music relative, definitive and enjoyable. 2. Produce records you''ll still sing along to in ten years time and music we will still enjoy playing in ten years time. 3. Play every show, record every CD with the utmost passion and love for what we are doing while showing our appreciation to everyone that has helped Ellington along the way!

Ellingtons 2006 demo acoustic EP ''Where the City Meets the Sea, Your Heart Will Find Me'' received overwhelming support from the community. For three teenagers from a small coastal town, to travel to another city and play a show and have someone actually singing along to a song you wrote is very much a strong driving force behind why musicians make music! After playing only 10 shows together Ellington unfortunately lost there full time drummer Sam Van Dyk putting an end to immediate plans to record and tour. However Joel Kowald has joined Ellington to take on the world!

After 11 months of long drives, late nights at rest stops and incredible shows our debut EP is finally set for release on April 1!!

EP''s generally prove to be a bands "first contact" with there prospective listeners ears, an inducement or sweetener which inevitably depicts exactly what your band is supposed to sound like and exactly who is supposed to be listening to your music.

Ellington’s, The Joy We Keep In and first EP release does not encase all of there music entities and ideas, however in 8 very well crafted songs, it does give the world a very well established and passionate introduction to what this band could achieve in the very near future.
