The Golden Eagle String Band, Smithsonian/Folkways recording artists, have been performing in the Northeastern United States for over 25 years. They have recorded and performed for the Smithsonian Institute, the World Canal Conference, Mystic Seaport and toured under a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Golden Eagle String Band has performed for folk festivals, bluegrass festivals, canal festivals and general concerts for museums, colleges and historical societies.
Band members include: Eric Carlson, guitar and harmonica; Dwight Garrow, fiddle and mandolin; Bill Hullfish, Irish whistle and flute; Mike Mumford, concertina, banjo and mandolin; and Ron Perry, string bass.
