It began in ''91 in a lonely canyon somewhere in New Mexico.
Just Jimmy & David bangin'' out some loud Rock n Roll,
as far from the cops, the critics & the cowpokers as we
could get.
Sure, we may have set off a few stampedes, but we had our
own (brand) of Rock & soon those cows were back-
(with friends, & wearin'' sunglasses & leather pants.)
We knew we had somethin'' good goin'' on, so we took it out to
L.A. to see if they could kill it.
After checkin'' things out, we decided they probably could,
& we were gettin'' pretty bummed out about people gettin'' on
our case for eatin'' meat. (Brother Hawk is a Carnivore.)
Anyway, eatin'' veggies & suckin'' up smog didn''t make much sense to us, so we opted to return to the relative sanity
(& obscurity) of the Badlands of New Mexico.
We both did time playing with various cover bands over the
years, but always got back together to write & perform our original material.
We finally got back in the studio in ''04 to record,
despite the fact that it was still only the two of us.
Jimmy took care of the thunder down under & I did my best with the rest. (guitar, bass, vocals)
Thus, we present you with our self titled CD-Brother Hawk.
We know this work is''nt perfect, but it is a self financed,
self motivated, blue collar record & we are proud
of the results.
With the addition of Scott Williams on bass, we have found
the long sought after Brother in Arms we were looking for.
We''re three nuts in a sack (so to speak), & as any student
of Rock history knows,without the proper chemistry-
(blend of insanity), ya just can''t kindle the fire
in the first place.
What we''re cookin'' up next is live support for our album &
a big ass helping of the heavy stuff for our next CD.
Just think-only a hundred years ago, we probably would''ve
been out robbin'' trains...
