Bio,
I was born in Mesillas Sombrerete Zacatecas Mexico. I started humming songs that my mother was singing while doing her home chores. This music included church songs, as well contemporary music played on the radio. From my mother side of the family there is several musicians and they have a recording band that currently is working writing songs. From my father mother’s side of the family I give credit to the Sanchez family, who has several musicians that have play music as a habit and inspired to be artist.
The Rodriguez family crossed the USA, Mexican border on June 13th 1965. I spend that summer mostly in side the family home and entered Van Nuys Junior High in the fall of that year. I befriended the Alonzo family whom had two adolescent boys’ that were practicing music and had a cussing who was playing the guitar. I started to practice with the three family members and soon developed a garage band. The focus of the band was in playing mostly contemporary ballads played by groups like Los Fredis, Apson, and a few Rancheras.
I was always thinking about making La Banda de musica and acquired two more musicians from Van Nuys High School that played trombone and alto saxophone. I continue to look ahead and started playing in weddings and local ballrooms, soon three other musicians were added to the band and the band started to focus more on English songs and eventually lost its cohesiveness. I letter enrolled in voice classes at Valley College and continued singing during family gatherings especially during Christmas holidays.
I met my wife Basilia during an outing at a ballroom were she was dancing and I asked her to dance with me and the rest is history, soon we got married and had three boy’s making it difficult to peruse my music career, I focused on working and getting an education. I never gave up on my dream to be a singer, I continued to practice solo at my parents garage and letter at my home were I eventually wrote songs. I earned a Doctors degree in Psychology, I have a private practice and teach part time at C.S.U.N. I never gave up on my dream to sing songs; I currently completed my first Album/CD name “Es Amor”.
I would like to focus this next stage of my life in writing and recoding music, I feel very comfortable singing to audiences of all ages. I have been a guest on the following talk shows, three times in the Christina show, several times in the show Los Angeles Al Dia, a television commercial for a local hospital, and have been a guest on local radio talk shows. I have appeared in local news papers, Los Angeles Times, Daily News, and La Opinion. I feel music is a very special part of my life and I’d like to share it with you and the world.

Yo naci en Mesillas Sombrerete Zacatecas Mexico. Comense a entonar cansiones que mi madre cantaba durante sus quiaseres de casa. La musica incluia cantos de la iglesia y cansiones contemporanias que escuchava en la radio. En la familia de mi mama tenemos musicos que presentemente se encuentran tocando musica nortena y an gravado un album. De la familia de mi papa tenemos varios musicos, la familia Sanchez que an inspirado de ser artistas y que tocan varios instrumentos.
Mi familia cruso la frontera de Mexico y Estados Unidos Junio 13th 1965. Durante el verano de el mismo ano, pase mucho tiempo dentro de la casa y en el otono comense la escuela en Van Nuys Jr. High. Me hise amigo de la familia Alonzo que tenia dos hermanos que se encontraban practicando musica, tambien con el primo de ellos que tocaba guitarra. Comense a practicar con ellos, y de hai nacio un grupo de musica. Comensamos a tocar musica contemporania, baladas como la musica de Los Fredis, Apson, y alguanas Rancheras.
Mi enfoque con la musica era de tener un grupo solido y grabar cansiones, pronto invitamos a dos musicos de la escuela Van Nuys High que tocaban trombone y saxophone alto, fue muy rapido nuestro aprendisage de cansiones en espanol y ingles, comensamos a tocar en bodas, bailes y de dias festivos como el sinco de Mayo para el colegio y otros lugares que selevraban dias festivos Mexicanos. El groupo elijio que se inclullera tres musicos mas y el grupo comenso a perder su enfoque de tocar musica Mexicana. Yo comense a tomar clases de vos en el Colegio de Valley College, y segui practicando, cantaba durante eventos de familia y deves encuando en teatro de cine durante la intermision en la area de Los Angeles, Ca.
Conoci a mi senora Basilia en un baile y el resto es historia, nos casamos y tenemos tres hijos, mi enfoque cambio un poco, y me dedique a atender a la escualea de noche y trabajar por el dia, pero nunca deje de pensar en mi musica y pase mucho tiempo practicando solo en la casa de mis padres y despues en mi casa donde he compuesto cansiones. Mi educasion, me llebo a completar mi adoctorado en psychology, tengo practica privada y tambien soy parte tiempo maestro en la Universidad de Northridge (C.S.U.N.) donde enseno consegeria de la infancia Chicano/a y otras menorias. Yo nunca perdi la esperanza de cantar, termine de grabar mi primer album que se llama “Es Amor”.
En la siguiente etapa de mi vida, quiero enfocarme en escribir y grabar cansiones, yo me siento my bien cantando enferente de odiensas de todas edades. He sido invitado a varios shows incluyendo, tres veces al show de Christina, varias beses al show Los Angeles al dia, tambien hise un commercial para una hospital local y he partisipado en shows de la radio. He sido intrevistado por los siguientes periodicos, inclullendo Los Angeles Times, Daily News y tambien en La Opinion, todas las intrevistas fueron relasionadas a proveer servisios y educasion de salud mental a la comunidad. Mi educasion es muy emportante para mi, pero yo yebo la musica en mi Corazon y me gustaria tener la oporunidad de compartirla con ustedes y el mundo.
