Saxophonist Ken Ryce has a refreshing sound that is reminiscent of the cool breezes of the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, where he was born. Ken was born into a large family where he is the ninth out of ten children. His experiences in both Trinidad and in New York, where he migrated to in his teen years, helped to shape his musical interests. Ken Ryce first played the trumpet in his high school band and became hooked. By the time he graduated, he had played in numerous bands and for various events. Ken remained dedicated to his music for years as he shared his talent with a variety of audiences. The trumpet would not be his only lifetime love, though. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, Ken met and married Laurel and had two beautiful daughters, Adanna and Kenesha, who also developed a talent and love for music. After borrowing an Alto Sax from his brother-in-law out of curiosity, Ken began teaching himself to play the saxophone. The sax brought a new joy to both him and those who were blessed by the melodies that were played. For the past ten years Ken has been committed to sharing the gospel through his musical talents. He has traveled across the United States and abroad lifting up the name of Jesus through the soothing and serenading sounds of the saxophone.
