Mark Of The Müze is a revolving ensemble that makes delicately woven organic music soaked in rich depth. The warm tone of instrumentation and vocals evoke romanticism and inner stillness. The ambient acoustic sound is vaguely Icelandic with its roots in Portland.
Mark Of The Müze is concerned with esoteric experiences & transcendent states of consciousness beyond the limits of self. Transpersonal sustained rapture is their musical intention.
The music is recorded in a home-made basement studio in Portland without glossy hi-fi production and trickery, without pressures from record label managers and studio engineers. Recordings are often generated while musing in a candle-lit room under a romantic spell into the wee hours of the night.

Vocal intonations are often compared to that of late Jeff Buckley and Jonsi Birgisson (Sigur Ros). Their acoustic compositions embody characteristics similar to late Elliott Smith and Joni Mitchell, while their electro-bent compositions are akin to Portishead.
The new album, ‘Ocelli’ (Under the Underground), is comprised of vocals, guitar, violin, cello, piano, horns, keyboards, harp, acoustic and electro beats. The record and live performances feature arrangements by artists from the Oregon Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theater Orchestra, Portland Opera, Chamber Music Society, March Forth Marching Band, Stalking Jane, Vagabond Opera and others. Mark Of The Muze performs as a revolving ensemble or solo.

Lances composition skills combined with his out-of-the-ordinary singing range (meaning not many boys can do this) resembles that of the late, great Jeff Buckley.
