LOVESICK, the second full-length record from Mike June & The Dirty Doves, will be released on Tuesday March 27th, 2007 by June''s own Junedog Records label. 3 years in the making, LOVESICK is the proper follow-up to 2002''s critically acclaimed CROOKED. It features 11 songs that explore a relationship that falls apart, rekindles and ultimately crashes and burns. With June''s signature vocals leading the way, the Dirty Doves (Jay Forsythe, Clint Morris, Joe Vernazza, Ed Fritz and Rich DeCicco) move from Motown inspired indie rock (Fighting The War) to Dylan-esque country ( The Ballad of the Ballad {of John and Yoko}) to Faces-style bar rock (Honkey Tonk Angels #2) with thier signature grace and grit while June''s lyrics provide an emotional uppercut. Produced by June and guitarist Jay Forsythe, LOVESICK was recorded and mixed using old-fashioned analog equipment and instruments to give it a warm, vintage feel.
