Details:
For the genre of the „fusion-folk“ music POETA MAGICA has got a well-known name – not only for the sites of Germany. Just for a short time ago, the Skandinavian, French and more other audience could realised that old fashioned music mustn’t always be covered with the dust of history. If somebody still believe it had to be so, this one would be told by an other kind of middleage music or the possibility of playing such music, that it hadn’t to be so.

POETA MAGICA, this name stands for a wide range of popular and independent music from the middleage. The competition owned by each of the four solo-musicians, builds up the background for a great repertoire of European folk music from foreign times.

Their interpretation of music based either on the historical scripts and compositions or in a free readaptation along the roots of traditional music. This includes a very extended variation of authentic equipment like instruments and clothes.

A vision of the possibility of this group is by example their Scandinavian music. Up to now, the traditional folk-musicians in Scandinavian are playing on instruments, which are still close to the ones from the foreign times. But you can still find the bagpipes or other tunes with their typical ‘Bordun-Sound’ over the whole world.

And with such kind of instruments like the Bag-Pipes or the Nyckelharpas, it is possible to drive from one culture-site to an other.
By the all, the Scandinavian music is just only one of the focal points. Bretonic and Bulgarian traditions are for example other sites with the playing of the celtic harp or nyckelharpa.

So, together they all build up a fantastic opportunity for an old journey by music and concert. Because of this and the limited facilities to produce different kind of sounds, POETA MAGICA use their improvement to travel and changing through the European domain of middleage and folk-music without any divorce.

The music of POETA MAGICA embraces from the roots of archaic, the time of the Trouveres and Minnesänger, up to the travelling musicians of the middleage and traditional folk, the whole variety of the music from Occident to Orient.

It is middleage pure in all of its variations. Timeless virtuous music on authentic historical instruments, a music, that makes your legs want dancing.
The main purpose is to give an authentic demonstration of the middleage by music. POETA MAGICA´s special ambition is to intercede for the convolution of the archaic musictraditions with the intonation of modern music, which is an old long heritage. It is an eternity from the middleage, over the Traditional-Music, up to the ethnically orientated ‘World-Music’ as a tradition.

Music it is a great variety of one thing called – live.
