Details:
From the age of 10, Dublin born Irish singer, Patricia Cahill, known as "The Irish Nightingale", has sung her way into the hearts of people all over the world. Her beautiful voice has that special "something" which crosses all the musical barriers, whether in recordings, cabaret bookings, theater, concerts or TV, as well as in her many albums and CD ''s, which range from beautiful Irish music to easy listening and songs from the shows.

Regarded in the business as a highly professional "class act", she is a popular and true artiste, a singer amongst singers, with a wonderful stage presence. To her countless fans, she is the best female singer that Ireland has yet produced

Her first commercial recording "Ireland''s Patricia Cahill sings for you", was recorded in a small school in the suburbs of Dublin for an American based company, Avoca Records. It was later reissued in America under the title "Danny Boy", which was one of the tracks on the album, which included "Bantry Bay", "The Kerry Dances", and "Come Back to Erin".

Imagine an Irish singer like Patricia playing the part of the romantic Adele in "Die Fledermaus" and in the same week, spending time in the recording studios on a ballad "One and One", which made it to the No. 2 spot in the Irish pop charts. Then came "Warm and Tender with Patricia" featuring songs like "People", and "The Shadow of your Smile".

Her starring appearances in many stage shows, light opera and musicals in the Gaiety and Olympia theaters in Dublin and major theaters around Ireland confirmed her enormous popularity. In one particular year, she was voted top irish entertainer by one of the leading Sunday newspapers in Ireland. On another album, simply called "Patricia ... with Love", she included standards such as "Summertime", "Climb Every Mountain", You''ll Never Walk alone" and "I Could Have Danced all Night".

When representing Ireland for the first time, in musical festivals in Poland and Romania, she performed in front of 1,000''s in the live audience, and millions on TV. The phone exchanges were clogged to ask the one question - "Is this what all Irish girls look like"?.

Again, Patricia was the only Artiste to be asked to make an album for the Romanian market - a fitting tribute to her lovely voice and personality.

These albums were followed by a succession of further albums with the Decca recording company, including "Patricia Cahill''s Ireland", a new selection of classic Irish melodies such as "Danny Boy", "The Fairy Tree", and "Bantry Bay", Then came "Summer''s Daughter", a very relaxed and expressive album, with songs like "Bridge over Troubled Water", "Raindrops Keep Fallin'' on my Head" and "I''ll Never Fall in Love".

One album in particular is one of Patricia''s favorites. Called "The Great Duets", it was recorded live in the Wigmore Hall in London, with Scotland''s Kenneth McKellar, and included "One Alone", "This Is My Lovely Day", and "One Hand, One Heart" as well as "Whispering Hope" and "When the Children are Asleep".

Patricia has co-presented and sung in many TV productions, including her own series "Patricia", a wonderful musical programme which was produced by the now celebrated originator of Riverdance, John McColgan. This also resulted in the national TV station (RTE) producing its first album "Patricia - Songs from the Series". including "Evergreen", "At Seventeen", and "Don''t Cry for Me, Argentina". Another TV spectacular, "Patricia Cahill and Friends", has been shown around the world.

In England, she starred in lavish shows in most of the big theaters around the country, including the Opera House Blackpool, and the Futurist Theater in Scarborough, with top stars, including Ireland''s Val Doonican and The Bachelors, with whom she recorded one of her albums, featuring songs such as "Diamonds are Forever", "Why Do I Love You", and "Edelweiss".

In London, she played the Victoria Palace, The Price of Wales, and the Albert Hall, and fulfilled a childhood dream of singing in the internationally renowned London Palladium, where at "Sunday Night Live at the London Palladium", she literally stopped the show with "I Don''t Know How to Love Him", from "Jesus Christ Superstar".

She also had her own annual season in the famous "Savoy Hotel" in London, where she enjoyed enormous popularity. Her international cabaret performances have taken her to all the leading hotels in the world, including the Mandarin in Hong Kong, and the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

Her latest CD''s are "Encore" (Songs from the Hit Musicals including "Tonight", "Somewhere", and a beautiful version of "Nessun Dorma"), and "My Ireland" (More of her favorite Irish songs, including "Molly Malone", "Macushla", and Too Ra Loo Ral Loo Ral"). They are on her own label "Alta Music", whose name is based on the lovely area overlooking Marbella in Southern Spain, where she is now based.

Patricia''s career up to now has been a hugely exciting and varied one. But it is always the future which is the most important, and 2005 is already a busy one in Europe, with return trips to the United States in particular.
