By the time he was 14 ''Skiffle'' music was all the rage , Peter and his two brothers with some school friends formed their first band , ''The Fabulous Five ''. They played at school , the local youth club , mothers front room , and they auditioned .
Then Elvis , in those first flickering images ,arrived .
The group turned to Rock ''n'' Roll and continued auditioning they ventured further afield , to dance halls , to US bases.
Splitting up and forming different combinations , searching for perfect line up .
Rick ,Peter''s elder brother , made it as a Pop Star , he was called Eden Kane , he showed his brothers the way .
At one point in 1962 Rick suggested Peter become a songwriter . Things got serious after that , Peter had read ''On The Road'' by Jack Kerouec and listened enthralled to the songs of Bob Dylan .
He moved restlessly around Europe as a street musician , learning as he travelled . Eventually winding up in Copenhagen where he wrote ''Where do you go to, my Lovely''
It was 1966 and Peter had arrived as a songwriter , in 1969 he recorded the song , it was number one in 14 countries .
Peter never looked back . For four decades he has written his songs and performed them , never tiring . Changing yes .
