A NEW BREED OF SINGER/SONGWRITER HAS EMERGED...
With hundreds of original songs in her catalogue - spanning rock, pop, folk, blues, country, and adult alternative genres, Sherri Mullen''s passion in life is to express herself through music.
In 2002, Sherri released her debut album called MASK. The CD had an autobiographical feel to it...taking the listener through a gauntlet of emotions dealing with how people seem to "hide behind the mask". Less commercial...more artistic in nature...many of the songs came from Sherri''s feelings in coping with breaking away from a longtime career in the computer industry, and leaving it all behind to pursue a musical dream. Her first single, "Home of the Free" is a patriotic song that has made its way around the globe as a tribute to our service men & women. This song was also the theme song of a local TV show. Other songs from the CD were featured on radio shows in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
In December 2005, Sherri released her sophomore CD entitled ON THE EDGE. This eclectic collection of songs features a half dozen commercial songs targeted specifically to the film and TV market, along with some previously unreleased material and fan-favorite "bootleg" recordings. What makes the collection unique in a sea of indie releases is the effortless way in which Sherri moves seamlessly from one style of song to another. She remains believable not only as a "RockDiva" - nailing alternative rock & modern pop selections, but is also not afraid to share her softer adult alternative & country sides, and her feisty blues roots. Several of the songs from ON THE EDGE have been placed in film/TV projects in the United Kingdom and the United States, and fan favorite “Daddy’s Girl” was recently signed to a print deal, placing it in a piano book with accompanying CD.
Sherri''s love for music and passion for wanting to help other musicians is evident by the many projects that she so willingly takes on. She created and hosted a popular internet radio show (Musician Showcase) on https://www.tradebit.com (Harrisburg Broadcasting Network) for 4 years, before stepping aside as host in 2006 to take on the role of Executive Producer. For two years, she co-hosted a local cable TV show (Backstage Pass with Sherri & Geo), that showcased the musical talent in and around the Harrisburg Pennsylvania area. In 2005, Sherri was named a Regional Workshop Coordinator for Nashville Songwriters Association International, where she helps to facilitate songwriting workshops, educational events, and networking events for songwriters in the Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania area. If this is not enough for even the most energetic person to handle, Sherri continues to perform regularly in the Eastern Pennsylvania region, while managing, marketing, promoting, and licensing her music, and the music of other talented songwriters, through her international publishing company (RockDiva & SugarDaddy Publishing-ASCAP).
Sherri has received various accolades during her career. She was voted BEST FEMALE VOCALIST by https://www.tradebit.com in 2005, and most recently she won the 2006 Central PA Music Award for BEST ACOUSTIC ACT. Sherri also received the ASCAP PLUS AWARD (Pop Category) for three consecutive years in a row, and is endorsed by Daisy Rock Guitars, Wicked Threads, and Rebel Guitar Straps. In 2006 she signed a management deal with manager Chris Franz from Razing Kane Entertainment.
Sherri’s new full length CD entitled “FEARLESS” was released in April 2007, and the songs from this collection are quickly gaining momentum in the international music scene. Sherri is currently touring in support of this album! For more information, go to https://www.tradebit.com .
