Simon Sweet has a love for music and writing. He started out as a drummer back in high school listening to bands like Led Zeppelin and Foreigner. As an aspiring drummer, he performed in numerous bands that played the New York City circuit. Through the years he has written many songs and became the front-man when performing his own music. Simon created the mini-CD entitled On The Downtown Train with five (5) tracks where he wrote the music, lyrics, played the drums and was the lead singer. Over the years, Simon has performed as a stand-up comedian, wrote a comedy screenplay entitled, You Gotta Be Kiddin’ Me, and has created his latest masterpiece, which is a ten (10) track CD entitled, I’m All In.
His songs are classified as intelligent music. However, if you do not like his music you will not be classified an idiot :-) With that said, the lyrics deliver a powerful message and the music will entice you to want to hear more. Simon is a believer in writing songs that have a meaning where you can understand what is being said. So listen carefully and enjoy an original sound by an original guy.
The I’m All In concept is derived from the Poker game Texas Hold’em and anyone that plays poker understands that poker is not just a game built on luck and chance, but, poker is the game of life. Thus, the I’m All In concept touches on all aspects of life from there being Too Much Crime in this world to Religion and its impact on society. For certain crimes rehabilitation is fine and the thought is understood. But, the punishment must fit the crime. For violent rape, child predators and cold blooded killers we should turn the key and toss it in the muck. Religion, the biggest gang of all, is supposed to bring love and understanding to the world, yet when interpreted by some, children can be used as bombs to kill; Innocence used to kill the innocent. I’m All In respects God and all religions and understands its purpose in our great society, as well as its importance too many. However, we also see how religion causes prejudices and at times prays on the weak. By the way, I’m All In loves Christmas and supports this nation under God.
From Relationships where people break-up to never wanting to say goodbye, I’m All In has experienced it all. We felt sedated, aggravated and easily agitated, we started fights, we’re never right, and ask what has love created? On the other side of the love issue, I’m All In may push you away - but will never leave your side.
I’m All In loves her country that is symbolized through the Statue of Liberty. We take a journey from her birth when Christopher Columbus discovered her, to the Boston Tea Party, to her adolescence of the Civil War where she experienced an emotional breakdown but kept it together, to putting an end to Hitler’s tyranny and the country’s love for Elvis, to her not understanding the new enemy that faces her, in radical Islam. We’re not sure if Lady Liberty is dating, but she better be careful; Simon Sweet would love to marry her.
I’m All In takes its love for this country even further in the song Back to the 50’s. We understand that there were bad things occurring during those times and a change was needed to correct its ills. However, we know that with change we lost some good things that we need to get back. For one, this website will only be written in English. Our intention is not to offend, however, we ask the question: Political Correctness where does it end? I’m All In hopes it will end very soon, but we can be quite optimistic.
For those men whose ex’s make it difficult to be a part of their children’s lives, we say to the kids; never forget "who’s your daddy". Also, Family Courts need to get their act together and start playing fair. I’m All In recognizes the fact that some men are nuts, some may think we are nuts, we wish we always have “the nuts”, but the courts need to stop vindictive women from interfering with men that want to be a part of their child’s life.
I’m All In understands it is easier to blame others than play the cards you were dealt. People need to take responsibility when something goes wrong and stop blaming everyone else. I’m All In could not help itself to seize the opportunity and do a little finger pointing of its own to get some points across; like using the race card, spewing out propaganda and killing for your God. Is it too late? Have we finally lost our way?
We all like to reminisce and be nostalgic about when we were younger. We like to exaggerate the times past and we enjoy comparing them to times present. As good as it is now, the present will never replace the memories of when we were younger. We here at I’m All In loved the fact that when we were younger there wasn’t a reality show on every TV channel.
Lastly, for those die hard poker players who experience the roller coaster ride of being on top of the world; invincible you might even feel. Going “I’m All In” only to lose everything and utter those famous last words “you gotta be kidding me”. Remember, life is a long journey of failures and successes. Keep your head up high and a positive attitude and you’ll position yourself to be on top again.
