MP3 Tim Yungwirth - The Moth Inertia EP

Dynamic and atmospheric modern folk

5 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Acoustic, ROCK: Progressive Rock

Details:
Tim Yungwirth is more than just a singer-songwriter. Hailing from Baltimore, MD, Yungwirth has been part of the game since 2000, formerly performing nationwide with the acoustic rock outfit Steakhouse. After the dissolution of Steakhouse in 2004, Yungwirth rebuilt his own songwriting platform, and then began to rewrite the genre. With a background in the avant-garde and “new” music, the live performance became more and more like an experiment. Songs and setlists changing every night. More effects and sounds every night. Sometimes a solo performer, sometimes part of an ensemble, Yungwirth has been striving to be more than just someone who sings and plays acoustic guitar.

“Part of the power of this music is that it is something you have never heard before. Upon first inspection, it can be a little confusing, but then it just gets into your head and stays there."

Reviews:

“Yungwirth combines a unique blend of odd time signatures, unconventional chord progressions, and thoughtful lyrics. Performing all over Maryland, Yungwirth is quickly making new friends and fans. Although with just a little time under his belt, this surprising performer continues to wow audiences with his incredible live performances.”

"Excellent stuff! As melodic as Dylan and as aggressive as DiFranco."
-Tracy Williams, UMBC Retriever Weekly

“Talented, catchy. Nice voice. Awesome! Come to St. Louis. Come to my house. I''m a big fan!”

“Your tunes are great. You have quite a command of the guitar.”
-Oedipus (Los Angeles, CA)

“Yungwirth’s got more talent in his feet (nice array of pedals) than most have total!”
-Bastard Hut (Ellicott City, MD)

“The main riff in "This Routine" is slick as hell. It''s no surprise why you inspire so many.”
-Modzilla (Reading, PA)
