in 2000, high school friends will stucky and luke rountree formed the chad blish band. in 2002, they began recording early, rough demos at freak studios. after finshing these demos, and highly enthused, the chad blish band went into the studio to tackle their first full-length lp. recording began at cimarron sound lab in the summer of 2003 and continued into the fall and late winter of the next year. they invited many talented friends to join in the creation of what would become “love and do.” in the midst of the album, the chad blish band decided to change their name to upfromunder. recording wrapped up in january of 2004. the album was released later that year at the nsu jazz lab in tahlequah, ok. the album was very well received among fans and critics.
of late, upfromunder is in the process of an extensive writing season. while playing various shows around the okc region, upfromunder is forming new material for their second album.
