Wendyschild (AKA - John Sargeant) writes songs, sings, plays guitar, a little piano, harmonica and banjo and occasionally picks up a paint brush.
John draws on both the positive and negative experiences in his life and the depths of his imagination and spirit to express his truths, yearnings, satisfactions and stories.
John has been a prolific songwriter since early adolescence. Being born in London to a West-Indian father and an English mother, John has long sought to breach cultural, racial, spiritual and class divides. He has a strong belief in the obvious power of music to unite people from all walks of life, and he hopes that his music can play a part in that.
