Details:
One of the most influential American musicians in the “Indie” world today. Grand prize winner of Glory songwriting competition in 2004 but his music has spanned myriad styles from Hawaiian, Island, Gospel, inspirational, pop, folk, reggae, blues, country, rock and ethnic music. He has constantly expanded his musical palette throughout his career, absorbing many other genres including new wave, techno and alternative music. He has a reputation as a “songwriting” workaholic and branded as one of the fastest songwriters today, having released eight (8) albums in two (2) years under his own name and is known for having composed and recorded many more songs in a snap that remain unreleased. He writes, composes and produces all of his music single-handedly, and plays most, if not, all of the instruments on his albums. Critics and colleagues have referred to the quality of Eddie Florano''s work and its versatility as being indicative of musical genius.

About the album:
“LOOKING BACK” is a story of fun, love, friendship, social consciousness/awareness, cultural and ethnic heritage stirred by unique music in English Bisaya/Visayan/Cebuano (dialects) and Tagalog languages.

SPECIAL MENTION:

SANDUGO = means “ONE BLOOD”.

The Bohol Sandugo Celebration or Sandugo Festival, also known as Blood Compact Commemoration, is an annual historical event that takes place every year in the island province of Bohol, Philippines. This festival commemorates the treaty of friendship between two people of different races, culture, religion and civilization: between Datu Sikatuna, a native chieftain and the Spanish conquistador, Miguel López de Legazpi, representing the king of Spain. This treaty of friendship occurred on March 16, 1565 through a blood compact. [1] This blood compact is the first international treaty of friendship between Filipinos and Spaniards and is known today as "Sandugo", meaning "one blood".

When he was at the “Sandugo” park or landmark, he couldn’t wait to write a song for this monumental story of the TREATY OF FRIENDSHIP.

BOHOL ISLANDS = inspired by his first vacation in Bohol islands.

MAASIN CITY = newly created city. He spent few years there. During his recent short vacation there, he saw a lot of great changes... Bravo, Maasinhon people!!!

SOUTHERN LEYTE = Great islands! It’s cheap to tour there but the fun and experience is magnificent!

SIMPLENG BARKADA = He wrote this song when he’s still in college. Friendship sprouted through music, fun, food sharing and inoman. Typical, Filipino pass time… singing, eating and drinking. A group of friends (with different styles of music) who can sing and play guitars was formed. He recalled that the group was formed when it was raining hard and their Dormitory was flooded… instead of worrying much of where they could find their slippers floating around the rooms like little sail boats, they grabbed the guitars, sang and drank with little care in the world and as if they had acoustic jam session at a resort:) It was fun!

PRINSESA = Means “Princess”. Philippines is known to have "fiestas" especially in the provinces. Fiesta isn’t complete without coronation nights of the crowned queens and princesses. This is a coronation night song... an offering. This is also good for Valentine''s Day.

MASTERPIECE = It’s a Father-Daughter or Mother-Son dance. You know, birthday song, sweet 16, sweet 18, 21 for men. It’s also a wedding song. He sang this song during his sister''s wedding.

NASAAN? = means "Where?"... As in where''s the truth? Where are the fruits of being the only Christian country in Southeast Asia? Are the politicians doing Christian ways? Are they capable of governing or making laws? Where are the promises of all politicians? A challenge to the leaders to make great things or drastic changes for the good of the country… by eradicating hunger, exponential population, crimes, illegal activities, poverty and graft and corruption!!! Money will come and go but reputation and history of your deeds are immortals…

BANGON = means “Arise” as to “Arise, Philippines!” An inspirational song for all Filipinos worldwide!

LAPU-LAPU: CONQUEROR OF A CONQUEROR = the forgotten all-time hero and one of the national symbols of bravery against the more powerful and more equipped invaders. Time and time again, some choose to write what they believe (or what they want us to believe), not what actually happened. Choosing of heroes sometimes depends of the majority, few elite or politics. Lapu-lapu wasn’t just a well-read/rich myth or phony/weird/impossible characters of some poetry of the elite population BUT HE WAS REAL. NO MAGICAL POWER BUT A REAL BRAVE FIGHTER AND LEADER. You don’t have to spend millions just to excavate funny phony facts and claims to justify the validity of the characters or the places of the stories from some colorful poetry of popular poets…

PIT SEÑOR SANTO NIÑO = For SINULOG FESTIVAL!!! SINULOG "offering" DANCE FOR INFANT JESUS CHRIST!!!

SINULOG is the grandest, the most colorful and the most popular festival in the Philippines. It''s the festival of all festivals of the Philippines! It’s a celebration commemorating the islanders’ embrace to Christianity from Pagan origin during the time of Magellan. The celebration is held in Cebu City, Philippines which is the birthplace of Christianity in the Far East.
