VOCALIST BIOGRAPHY OF DEBORAH ANN JANSEN

Deborah Ann Jansen has been entertaining and working in the Canadian music industry for over 20 years. She has been involved in a variety of aspects of the industry; from a vocal coach at the Ontario Conservatory of Music, to stage and music director for various events across Ontario.
She has performed for fundraisers such as The Run For Light, Muscular Dystrophy Foundation (Jerry''s Kids), Sunshine Foundation, Kids with Cancer, Sick Kids, and Make A Child Smile, to name only a few.
Throughout her career, Deborah Ann has performed with many
musical groups in Canada, as well as across the border, ranging from the lead vocalist to back-up harmony for a number of bands that cover music from 40''s right through to current hits. Deborah Ann''s musical influences can be
seen in much of her tribute artist work. Great female legends such as Billy Holiday, Cher, Connie Francis, Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline and Vicki Carr
have all helped shape Deborah''s sound and allowed her to define a style all her own. There has always been a need for Deborah to connect with her audience; she once said
“I''ve a true love to perform, engage an audience with
every word sung within each song I connect with, taking them on a journey with me emotionally, one they shan''t soon forget.” She accomplishes this through her truly colourful voice, wide vocal range, and playful charisma on stage.

As with everything, Deborah is driven, dedicated, and above all loyal to her family, music and work as an Educator of the Blind.

When she is not out singing at a fundraising campaign, doing back-up vocal harmony in the studio, or performing with one of her favourite bands, she can be found at home taking care of her greatest inspiration, her 13 year old daughter
Kehlyn Lei.
She''s also deeply committed to her work with the Visually
Impaired, having worked with both Blind and Deaf-Blind students for 20 years. Deborah Ann aspires to dedicate more time to song writing so she may release her own CD in the near future. Until then, she looks forward to working with other Canadian artists and song writers as well as those
across the border, and will continue in her pursuit to educate and entertain.
