YOUNG CITY CHOPPER..
New Orleans, Louisiana native Kevin Barnes is Young City Chopper. Choppers international stardom began when he was caste as the youngest member of the MTV series Making the Band 2. After Sean P. Diddy Combs dismantled his hip-hop group "Da Band" in early 2004, he gave Chopper a second chance at stardom by setting him up to become the first solo act on Bad Boy South. Choppers single I see you Lil Daddy, had a major national buzz. The song was so hot; Sean P. Diddy Combs did a video on the song, which got the hip hop community anticipating the release of Choppers album. Due to the merger of Block Entertainment with Bad Boy South, Chopper felt that he wouldnt get the production or the attention that he needed. After his song was released on the Hustle and Flow Soundtrack (which sold over 1 million copies), Chopper left Bad Boy South, and began to focus on his first solo album. Chopper retained the services of Deezle, who is known for his work with Cash Money Records, and Block Entertainment. The Fast Life, Young City Choppers first solo album is strictly about what happened at Bad Boy, and all of the things that hes seen and learned coming of age. The first single Shut It Down is ripping through, the underground club scene, and the controversial song, Fast Life, talks straight up about his Bad Boy situation. As of late July, Chopper was jailed in Atlanta. He is currently awaiting extradition to Baltimore, Maryland, for an armed robbery he is accused of committing as a juvenile.
