The long anticipated solo acoustic record(Thursday Friday Sunday) from local New Jersey legend Robert Matarazzo is a startlingly sparse record with too much depth to mention in one article.
After a 2 year stint in Los Angeles, Matarazzo returned home to create. Create he did.
While in the middle of recording a full band album, he broke away from one studio and landed in another to create a more sparse "stripped down" record.
"A large majority of the shows I was playing in L.A. were of the singer/songwriter ilk.
I found myself missing that when I was listening back to the tracks on the new record."
The songs are themselves oozing emotion, add to that the soulful lament of one of the great voices of this era.
