Details:
David Scott is a native of North Carolina who has been sharing his gift of music across the state for more than twenty years. Born in Kinston the youngest of eight children, he learn guitar at the age of nine and found satisfaction playing popular country music of the time
and many classics as well. Though he enjoyed playing bluegrass and many pop rock standards, David soon found even greater fulfillment playing Christian music.

As a teenager David began a lifelong love of sharing his music with the many friends he made as a camp counselor and music leader at Camp Linn Haven in the northern mountains of North Carolina. Though David had found solace with the traditional church hymns he’d grown up with,
he found new inspiration through the songs he began learning at camp. After being turned on to the music of Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith among others, David found a genre of music that spoke to his spirit and allowed him to express his beliefs in a very different way. After graduating from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, David found a job teaching Construction Technology at Watauga High School in Boone, NC, just 30 minutes from the camp where he spent so many of his summers being spiritually enriched. David still lives in
Boone with his wife, Lana, and sons, Daniel and Matthew, where he now runs his own construction company. Over the last ten years David has developed a music ministry through leadership roles in various contemporary worship services.

In 1998 David expended his ministry by recording his first of five albums featuring many popular contemporary Christian favorites and over a dozen songs that he has written himself. After befriending Tim Greene, David dove head first into a part-time recording career by
recording his music at Tim’s “The Loft Studio” located in Boone. The first three projects were met with limited local success. David’s fourth project, “Standing in the Son” allowed the opportunity to employ the talents of some of the music industry’s best. David put his newest project in the hands of producer, Ronnie Brookshire, who has
worked with some of the biggest names in Christian music. This project was further blessed with the extraordinary talents of Phil Naish and Tom Hemby, who would also lend their talents to David’s most recent Christmas album entitled “The First Christmas Eve” which was released
in December of 2006. "Standing in the Son”, which features five original songs, became David’s first album to be released nationally. The album also generated
a very popular single among many Christian radio stations around the country. David’s version of the song, “When it’s all been said and Done” features the vocal talents of Brookshire’s then seven year-old niece, Anna Kaperak. The touching duet provides a special multigenerational feel to this beloved song. Released in 2004, “Standing in the Son” still provides David Scott with the opportunity to share his Christian faith with countless believers who share his passion for music and seek inspiration from the
messages within the songs that he has been blessed with. David prays that God will continue to use his talents to bless others and enrich the lives of all who hear his music.
